01Is this a karaoke app?
No. Voxavia is a measurement-first platform — pitch detection, voice quality analysis, and breath training. Karaoke pitch is one of 30+ drills, but it's not the point.
02Do I need an account to try it?
No. The app at app.voxavia.com runs in your browser with no sign-up flow. Microphone permission is requested only when you tap Start.
03Is this medical advice?
No. Voxavia is a self-awareness tool, not a medical device. Surveys like VHI, GRBAS, and RSI are framed as patient-reported measures, not diagnoses. Talk to a clinician for clinical decisions.
04What devices does it work on?
Any modern browser on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, or Android. Microphone access requires HTTPS (everywhere except localhost).
05How is this different from Praat or Smule?
Praat is a clinical tool with a dated UI and no real-time feedback. Smule is a karaoke app — fun, but no voice quality, range science, or breath work. Voxavia sits in between: clinical-grade DSP behind a singer-grade training experience.
06Does my voice data leave my device?
Never, unless you export it yourself. Voxavia has no backend. All sessions, audio blobs, and metrics live in IndexedDB on your machine.
